The palace protects your fish from predators, excessive sun and helps eliminate the stress that can be caused if frightened fish have no where to hide. In addition this sturdy plastic arch which blends well into the bottom of the pond includes an aeration hose, a airline tee and 12' of heavy duty airline with which you can attach it to the Happy Fish 80 watt air pump that we have coupled into this set. The Pond Palace is modular and extra 8 or 16 inch sections can be added to make it large enough for the biggest koi! Use the Pond Palace year round for protection plus, in the summer the use of the included air pump will aerate the water helping to reduce algae and maintain a healthy pond. In the winter the large circle of air bubbles prevents the surface of the pond from freezing solid in most conditions and will keep the exchange methane gas for oxygen going all winter long.
