Pond Care PimaFix treats fungal infections, treats internal and external bacterial infections, and has been specially formulated to be able to be used in conjuction with Melafix for extra help and protection. It may also be wise to use a medicated fish food while treating your pond water.

Desease is often the result of poor water quality. Remember these tips: Do not feed fish when water is below 50 degrees farenhiet. Do not over feed - more fish food than the fish eat completely gone in a couple of minutes. If fish food is being drawn into the skimmer or filter it will negatively effect water quality. Use a feeding ring and cut down the amount of fish food being given.

The rule of thumb for fish load is this: one inch of fish body maximum for every 10 gallons of water in the pond.

Salt: Most species can toloerate non-iodized salt (use fish safe pond salt ) up to a concentration of 1.5 cups of salt per 100 gallons of water. This eliminates 7 out of the 9 most common fish paracites and yet does not harm the filter system. Salt does not evaporate. Do not add additional salt when "topping off" your pond. Do add additional salt if doing water changes.
