This SKU is for a 9 FT scaled down ornamental windmill which turns in the wind and can be easily converted to a medium duty Aeration System. The ornamental version includes the 9' backyard quality (medium duty) tower, a scaled down 27" diameter fan on the head. An optional "conversion kit" with a diaphram compressor, Air Stone Diffuser and 33 Ft of polytubing is available. With the optional conversion kit the backyard windmill will aerate ponds up to 300 square feet and up to 3' in depth.
The 9 FT and 12' backyard towers are of a four leg design. They are available in galvanized and in five different powder coated colors. They are easy to assemble and come with a one year warranty.
You can use this windmill anywhere for an authentic ornamental benefit or add to the aeration conversion kit to properly circulate and aerate smaller backyard ponds. Ponds benifit from proper aeration in many ways: less algae, oder, and harmful bacteria build up, support for benificial bacteria which in turn will reduce muck and organic matter on the bottom of the pond, increased healthy living space for fish resulting in fish growth and health and greatly reduced chance of fish kills, and it may even reduce mosquito breeding (and West Nile virus) due to water movement. Aerated ponds will usually not freeze over completely, allowing healthy oxegyn and methane exchange all winter long. All of this means a healthier pond for animals and people to use and enjoy.
