Firestone LVOC (Low Viscosity) EPDM Bonding Adhesive is a solvent-based contact adhesive designed specifically for bonding Firestone PondGard™ EPDM Pond Liner and Firestone 45mil EPDM Pond Liner to wood, metal, masonry and other acceptable substrates. This adhesive works very well and has exceptional capacity to bond your pond liner to other surfaces. The regular version (W563587052) cannot ship to California, so this listing is for the low viscosity version (W56358705L) that can be shipped to California.  All other buyers will save money by buying the regular version on the link below.

Even the low viscosity version of this adhesive requires Haz-Mat shipping and cannot be shipped UPS Next-Day Air, Second-Day Air or Three-Day Select. Regular ground shipping by Haz-Mat truck is included in the price.

Application

Surfaces to receive Firestone Bonding Adhesive must be clean, smooth, dry and free of sharp edges, loose materials, oil, grease and other contaminants. The adhesive should be applied at the same time to the underside of the liner and to the substrate, using a solvent-resistant paint roller or other appropriate applicator. After allowing the adhesive to flash off, roll the previously coated portion of EPDM liner into the previously coated substrate. Do this slowly and evenly to minimize wrinkles, and with heavy pressure to ensure proper contact. For greater detail on application, see the attached Technical Information Sheet.

Coverage Rate
Depending on the substrate, coverage is approximately 45-60 square feet per gallon. Uneven and porous surfaces will result in lower coverage, while smooth and non-porous surfaces may result in higher coverage rates. Rates are based on roller application to both mating surfaces. When sprayed and back-rolled, the coverage rate may be slightly higher than when rolled only.
