The design of this pressurized filter definitely falls short of the Ultima in the opinion of Practical Garden Ponds, but is a far cry better than many of the small so called pressurized filters that use sponges which clog fast and need to be cleaned often. This filter even has a "backflush" feature for cleaning. I have not personally used this filter but it appears to be a reasonable aternative for someone who can't afford the Ultima II which I would still consider the ultimate pond filter!
This unit does NOTinclude a UV.
