Hand crafted in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by our Amish friends, these authentic wooden water wheels come complete with wooden wheel, sealed wheel barings and fold rolled steel rod or axel.  The screws and fasceners are yellow zinc coated.  Details listed by size below.

Yester-year will come alive in your pond, stream, cannal, or decorative fountain when you find a creative way to include one of these beautiful turning water wheels. These water wheels are generally in stock and ready to ship. Please keep in mind that all products hand made from wood will include knots and other natural blesmishes and imperfections. These water wheels are quality craftsmanship and you will be pleased with them if you like what you see in the photos, but there will be variations in the product.

Please notice the following details:
The 15" wheel is actually more like 14.5" in diameter and about 3.5" wide. It comes standard with zinc coated bearings and a 10.5 inch zinc coated shaft. The shaft can be permenantly affixed and does not need to turn.

The 30" wheel is actually more like 29.5" in diameter and about 6" wide. It comes standard with zinc coated bearings and a 5/8th inch diameter 13.5 inch long zinc coated shaft. The shaft can be permenantly affixed and does not turn.

The 48" wheel is actually more like 47.5" in diameter and about 6.5" wide. It comes with sealed steel bearings with a grease fitting, and a 1" diameter 20 inch long shaft with two tightner plugs on each side. The shaft can be permenantly affixed and does not turn.   IMPORTANT NOTE:  Even though grease fittings are included, these bearings are sealed and we do not recommend greasing these wheels - especially not in applications where excess grease could effect fish or wildlife.

Please note that these water wheels all turn on their shafts and therefore are not really designed to power equipment. They work, in the sense that they turn, but as the axel is stationary and the wheel turns upon it, they cannot drive equipment. Note that you will need to weld the axel so that it is affixed to the wheel to drive very light duty equipment. This size wheel does not provide much force and it's work load is limited.

Free Shipping is included in the prices as indicated. Larger sizes will be significantly less expensive if they can be picked up in Loganton or Lancaster PA. Please note that our Amish made lighthouses, waterwheels, and windmills all ship from the same place. We can pallet ship a mix of these together and lower your price significantly. For example, you could pay the "pickup in Loganton" price for up to an 8' lighthouse, a large windmill and a 48" water wheel and we could ship them all on one pallet for one shipping fee of $175 to a depot or commercial location or $275 for residential delivery.
