Saki-Hikari® Deep Red is an aggressive color-enhancing floating diet for higher quality Koi, resulting in more rapid and deeper coloration. This formula includes precise amounts of select, pure-cultured spirulina for deep coloration. It has been specially formulated to reduce the chance of discoloration of the Shiroji (white areas of the Koi) when used as directed.
The Hikari Germ™ is a source of live, viable naturally-occurring microorganimsms (probiotics) that take root in the intestine of the Koi, working to utilize available nutrients and to slow propagation of bad bacteria. Saki-Hikari® offers improved nutrient utilization through more efficient assimilation. With continued use, this can lead to better water quality.
For best results, use Saki-Hikari® Deep Red when water temperatures are consistently above 68°F. Combine with other Saki-Hikari® foods for best results (exclusive feeding of Saki-Hikari® Deep Red may cause discoloration of the Shiroji). Recommended to be combined with Saki-Hikari® Growth or Saki-Hikari® Multi-Season. Do not feed more than your Koi will eat within 3-5 minutes of feeding. Remove remaining food after this period to avoid overfeeding and consequent water problems. Feeding should be carefully regulated based on Koi activity level, and extra care should be taken to avoid overfeeding.
